I believe there should be more conversations about eating disorders. These disorders are in many ways very misunderstood and often carry caricatured misrepresentations. With this poster, I created a fairly shocking poster to represent some of the thought processes, emotions and self-hate issues at rooted in the realities of eating disorders.
The color scheme was inspired by the cartoon art of the TV show "Ren and Stimpy.” My intention with these colors was to contrast the glamorous and shallow way eating disorders are perceived against the dangerous cycles of self destruction that they carry in actuality.

I was an Resident Assistant for two years at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. For our staff shirts I illustrated all of my fellow staff members.

For the University of Nebraska - Lincoln Housing Department's tattoo event poster I wanted to illustrate the event's focus on the societal thoughts and misconceptions of tattoos.
I photographed two models and merged their bodies to look like one person and mimicked the navy and white contrast seen in the image for the word "think" and in the detail copy.
